  I have recently begun to introduce fabric into my paintings.  Many years ago I painted almost exclusively on canvas, but it seems I had long forgotten how the cotton surface interacts with paint.  The soft smoky edges that the two generate are really exciting.  So exciting in fact that I made a trip to Lorraine Fabrics in Pawtucket last week to stock up for future work.
